F1: Rain delays begin of Singapore Grand Prix




SINGAPORE – The Singapore System One Grand Prix is about to begin somewhat greater than an hour late as a consequence of a delay pressured by a tropical downpour on Sunday.

The race, initially set to begin at 2000 native time (1200GMT), will now start at 2105 native time (1305GMT) with the vehicles scheduled to set off on their formation lap.

“The Pit Lane Open and complete Begin Process has been delayed because of the climate circumstances,” an FIA spokesperson mentioned in an announcement.

“Procedures are already underway trackside to clear standing water,” it added.
