TEHRAN — Iran shrugged off Sunday what it referred to as US President Joe Biden’s “interference” within the month-old protests because the loss of life of Mahsa Amini within the custody of the morality police.
“Iran is simply too sturdy for its will to be swayed by the interference … by a politician bored with years of failure,” international affairs spokesman Nasser Kanani wrote on Instagram.
“We are going to collectively defend the independence of Iran.”
Biden had mentioned Friday that “we stand with the residents, the courageous girls of Iran.
