TACLOBAN CITY — The Supreme Courtroom (SC) has upheld the conviction of a former mayor in Leyte for permitting members of the Affiliation of Barangay Councils (ABC) to carry unlawful cockfights.

Charita Chan, who served as mayor of Babatngon city from 2007 to 2016, was discovered responsible for violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
